Hello, and welcome! As an Instructional Technology Specialist at Plymouth State University, my work centers on researching and implementing emerging and pedagogically appropriate technology to solve instructional challenges. I’m passionate about open educational resources (OER) and open pedagogy, web apps that can save us all time and effort, and effective course design that encourages student engagement and collaboration. I’ve worked on some exciting projects over the past year as part of my role on the Academic Technology team. We’ve implemented Domain of One’s Own and Zoom, and I’ve helped instructors inspire their students with assignments and assessments including designing infographics, developing Pecha Kucha presentations, and producing videos in a one-button-studio.
This site will display some of my recent professional projects and my creative pursuits. Keep an eye out for tutorials, analyses of emerging trends, and anecdotal tales of instructional approaches that ended in success (and sometimes, inevitably, failure). I love to explore emerging pedagogical practices and well as instructional technologies, so if you have an idea but you’re not quite sure how to turn it into a reality, let’s figure it out together!
